Pratyusha Banerjee was an Indian television actress who lived from 10 August 1991 to 1 April 2016. She had appeared in many reality and television series.
Banerjee rose to prominence after appearing in the television show Balika Vadhu in 2010. This was her first main part in a television series, and it was for this role that she became known as "Anandi." She had appeared on Bigg Boss 7 as a contestant (2013).
She began her career with a supporting role in Rakt Sambandh and then went on to play Vaani (Akshara's best friend, played by Hina Khan) in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.
She was cast as an adult Anandi in the 2010 Indian television series Balika Vadhu, replacing Avika Gor. According to the actor, she was chosen after competing against Nivedita Tiwari from Lucknow and Ketaki Chitale from Mumbai in a talent hunt. Banerjee took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa after the show's success (season 5). She did, however, leave the dance show because she was uncomfortable during the rehearsals.
